Adult Programs are designed to offer a friendly and respectful environment for people to learn ancestral skills and naturalist knowledge.
We offer a variety of workshops for adults: Hide Tanning, Bow Making, Flint Knapping, basketry, and our Woodland Ways Apprenticeship for those seeking more in-depth learning.
Woodland Ways Apprenticeship
Adults Ages 18+
Woodland Ways is a nature immersion program for adults led by Wolf Tree Founder and Director, Neill Bovaird. This year-long apprenticeship focuses on creating and maintaining deep nature connection routines throughout the year(s). Through these connections we develop a stronger relationship with nature, our community and ourselves.
Flintknapping
Flintknapping offers a window into the past, learning how early humans discovered and created stone tools using a variety of techniques.
Bow Making Class
A 4 day intensive program focused on the ancient art of bow-making. Craft your own bow out of a single piece of wood using traditional tools.
Twined Basket Class Series
Come to this three weekend series to learn this ancient art of harvesting, processing and weaving fibers from our local environment into a basket you can use and cherish for a lifetime.
Mogshade - Adult Summer Immersion
Join us for a week in the woods this summer, learning the timeless skills of living close to the land. This adult class offers a chance to slow down, step into the rhythms of the season, and deepen your relationship with the natural world.
Arrow Making Class
Arrow making teaches attention to detail and careful replication by crafting a set of arrows using traditional materials and techniques.
Coiled Basket Class
Join us for a 2 day workshop where we will explore the ancient art of coiled basketry, using a variety of natural fibers and handmade bone needles.
