Fall 2025 Program Updates!
Hello, and happy fall from Wolf Tree!
As the equinox passes, and we shift from summer into fall, signs of the season are all around us. The mercury is dipping lower at night, chlorophyll production is waning and bright colors greet our eyes, and animals of all kinds adapt their routines to match the season. Keep reading to see some of what we've been getting up to here at Wolf Tree, to learn a bit about the newest member of our team, and to see what's coming up in the future!
School Year Programs Begin
Since the beginning of September, five of our core youth programs - from after school to homeschool to weekend programs - have gotten underway. Exploration, games, birthday feasts, awareness challenges, and both learning and remembering how we show up at Wolf Tree have all already been key aspects to our fall. Ellie has joined us at Rivers, our teen program, which just had its first overnight, and Neill has returned to Roots to lead that wonderful group of children. Once again, our youth programs are bringing joy to the forest!
Welcoming New Staff!
This year, we are welcoming a new member to the Wolf Tree team: Ellie!
Ellie Fuller is an experienced wilderness skills facilitator who grew up in Sussex, England. Her passion is supporting folks of all ages to connect with the more-than-human-world, our kin, in reciprocal, fun and adventurous ways. She especially loves working with teens, creating spaces for them to meet edges, challenges and engage in rites of passage experiences. Ellie holds an MA in nature connection education, has facilitated Art of Mentorings, led teacher trainings, and designed and led long-term nature connection programs in England and New England.
Welcome, Ellie!
Upcoming Programs
Over the next handful of months, we have a wonderful selection of adult programs happening. Registrations are open, and there aren't many spaces left!
Flintknapping - October 11th-12th, 2025: Students will learn how early humans created stone tools using a variety of techniques. You will rediscover what our ancestors perfected!
Arrow Making - November 22nd-25th, 2025: You will make a set of arrows from river cane. Hardy points of steel will finish the arrows, and you will shoot them from wooden bows to test their flight and for the joy of watching them dart lightning-quick through the still air!
Bow Making - January 9th-12th, 2026: You will learn to craft your own bow out of a single piece of wood using traditional tools. This is an excellent program for those interested in traditional archery and hunting. You will leave class with a functional bow!
